Compassionate Conservatism

Henry George is surely rightly defined as a compassionate conservative -- not the first one, but certainly one of the greats.

His compassion for his fellow human beings, and his determination to seek and find the cause of their poverty, and seek its end, influenced several generations of Americans, and still has a great deal to offer us in 21st century America.

When you've gotten to know his ideas, you will have difficulty envisioning most of those who call themselves Compassionate Conservatives as either. But you won't see things through the lenses of most of those who are critical of CC's.
